Barista Training

Basic Barista Course

Students who are interested in serving coffee at the school cafe can take our 2-3 hour Basic Barista Course. With no prior knowledge or experience needed, students will learn to how to:

  • Make espresso shots;

  • Froth/texture milk;

  • Create different styles of coffee from a café menu; as well as

  • Clean and maintain the coffee machine

 
 

Nationally Recognised Course.

For students who take their coffee making a little more seriously and would like to apply for a job in a cafe, we offer the Nationally Recognised Barista Course, supplied by CMNL Academy (RTO No. 6871).

This course focuses on the preparation and presentation of coffee (latte art), resulting in a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment bearing the units of competency SITHFAB025 (Prepare & serve espresso coffee) and SITXFSA001 (Use hygienic practices for food safety).

This course includes a theory and practical component, which can be completed in 2 days or split over several days if more training is requested/required.
